About

The market has a blind spot. We report on it.

Misspriced is a daily brief about companies the sell side has not got around to, and specifically about the ones run by women.

Why this beat exists

Analyst coverage is not distributed evenly. It concentrates around familiar names, familiar sectors, and familiar management profiles. Businesses outside that pattern can post several strong quarters before anyone outside the existing shareholder base notices — and a company nobody is writing about is a company whose price reflects an absence of attention rather than an assessment of the business.

That gap is the entire subject of this publication. Not because under-covered companies are automatically cheap — plenty deserve their obscurity — but because the gap is where a careful reader can still find something the market has not already priced in.

What we actually do

Each weekday we take one company and work through it properly: what it sells, how it makes money, what the balance sheet looks like, who runs it, and what would have to happen for the thesis to break. We start from public filings, never from a pitch deck or a promoter's email.

Every write-up carries the argument against the company as well as the argument for it. If we cannot state the bear case clearly, we do not publish the piece.

What we are not

We are not an investment adviser, a broker-dealer, or a financial planner, and we are not licensed to tell anyone what to do with their money. We do not manage funds, hold client accounts, or offer personalized advice. We are a publication, and everything we produce is general commentary written without any knowledge of your circumstances.

We also take advertising, and we say so. Where we have a commercial relationship with a company that appears in an issue, that issue discloses it at the top — who paid, how much, and in what form. Read compensated content with the appropriate scepticism; that is why the label is there.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we correct it in the next issue and say what changed rather than quietly editing the archive. If you spot an error, tell us.
